Can I give a service as a gift?
A: Yes you can. It’s the gift that could help save a life.
Where is your service available?
A: At present, our service is only available within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. We will be expanding throughout Australia. Leave us your details and we will contact you when our service becomes available in your area.
What should I wear or not wear?
A: We ask that you do not wear or remove makeup, nail polish, foundation, lipstick and moisturiser. We ask that during the imaging process that you only be wearing your underwear or bikini/brief style swimwear.
What happens after I make a booking? What should I expect?
A: Our trained mole imaging technologists will visit your home or work. In a comfortable well lit room they will capture high resolution images of your moles across your body. The process usually takes about 1 hour. Following this, you will receive a report that has examined each mole image. The images are also stored online for your own access.
What happens after you take the images of my moles?
A: Your images are analysed by 2 independent medical skin specialists who identify any irregularities or issues. You will receive a report with the findings and any recommendations. Your images are also available online for your own use.
Why should I use your service? Can’t my GP check my moles?
A: A number of GPs are trained to analyse your moles. We offer a service that collects high resolution images of your moles over your entire body. This produces a database of information that helps in the continued early prevention of skin cancers. Also, we come to you!
Why does the process take so long?
A: We are not interested in rushing the process. It is important that we collect good images of your moles across your body.
Do you really come to me?
A: Yes. Convenience and your comfort is part of the service.
Do I need referral to use your service?
A: No, there is no need for a GP referral before using our service.
Are there any rebates for your service?
A: Some private health funds offer rebates for melanoma imaging. Please contact your health provider to confirm. Unfortunately there is currently no Medicare rebate available for this service.
What happens if my report shows any irregularities?
A: If your report identifies any irregularities, we recommend that you see your GP or skin cancer specialist immediately for further treatment.
Do you remove moles?
A: No, our service is a diagnostic one.
How often should I your service?
A: That really depends on your risk factors. Following your first assessment we can send you a reminder when your next check would be recommended.
Is the process painful?
A: No the process is pain free.
What can I do with my images?
A: The images that we collect belong to you and are for your own records. You may choose to share them with your GP or skin specialist if you have any irregularities identified.
Why use your service?
A: We offer the comfort and convenience of your home or workplace. We provide a total body mole documentation system that is assessed by 2 independent doctors. These image are used used as part of the historical examination when you have your next examination. Our service utilises the best known practice method to preventing melanoma.
What if I would prefer to have a female or male collect my images?
A: Please let us know when you place your booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
